A fusion of cameras, celebrity, fashion and music ignite to create one amazing photo-shoot. This is what transpired on the 26th of November when the Brutal Fruit trio: Bonang Matheba, Gert Johann Coetzee and Miss Pru came out to play in the most unconventional of ways, showcasing their new roles as Brutal Fruit Ambassadors.
We caught up with our “ROAR” cover girl Bonang “Queen B*” Matheba
With over 1 million combined Twitter and Facebook fans, there is no denying that Bonang Matheba is South Africa’s It Girl. 2013 was deemed the “Year of Bonang”, due to the major power moves this vibrant TV Presenter had made. From joining
SABC3’s Lifestyle Magazine – Top Billing at just 25, to being named the first Brand Ambassador for Revlon SA, making Forbes Magazine People to Watch in Africa list and one of New African’s Trailblazers, we couldn’t have picked a more deserving cover girl.
HOW HAS YOUR DAY BEEN SO FAR?
A: “It has been manic! This is my first Previdar Cover! Can you believe that?! We are here to celebrate Brutal Fruit’s newest variant Mango-Goji. What better way to celebrate than with a high-fashion spread? As you may know, I have been a Brutal Fruit Ambassador for years and I’m excited to still be a part of this journey. I can’t wait to see the issue”.
HOW HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE SHOOTING WITH PREVIDAR BEEN?
“It was really good and fun, I love working with photographers who are really quick and who know exactly what they want. I love fun and sexy shoots because I’m very comfortable with my body and how I look and it’s very seldom that I get to show the fun side of me. I’ve also learned that people have always made me aware that I’m always covered up and that I don’t often showcase the fun/party girl in me which is another reason that contributed to me doing this shoot and I loved it”.
