“You can have anything you want in life…if you dress for it.” A stylish celebration of all things fashionable, the #NicciAW18 launch party showcased their style offering for Autumn/Winter 2018, together with a selection of South African Celebrities, Fashion Journalists, Media Personalities, VIP shoppers and guests at Hyde Park Corner, Africa’s Centre of Luxury.
Think athleisure, embroidered offerings, floral designs, double denim, metallic jackets and a pantone palette of greens, greys, pinks and burgundy; as well as a host of fun accessories and handbags, as we reveal what this season has to offer at Nicci Boutiques nationwide.
“One thing we take pride in, is the use of vegan leather for the leather garments. Thanks to technology we don’t have to use animal skin and the likes to make leather jackets, but we can study the skin texture & pattern and apply that in the making of the leather. This is what we like to call responsible fashion, especially at a time where there are some animals that are going extinct, all because of unethical human activity.” Says Nicci.
At the launch party, guests were able to style their AW18 look with the all-new Nicci Fashion Closet, whereby they modeled the latest #NicciAW18 fashion for the photo booth.
With a glam squad on standby, the guests were glammed up on the GlamPalm station, complete with stylists to show your locks some love. “The most exciting fact about the GlamPalm flat iron and magic wand is that its infused with a stone only found on a mountain in South Korea. Most people complain about damage caused my heat on their hair when they use any flat iron, but with technologically advanced tools you won’t have to worry about that as the stone has healing properties, even if you hold the flat iron a little longer, your hair will not go weak and break.” Says Ria Gypersad from the GlamPalm team.
Gosh Cosmetics makeup bar was also available with more vegan makeup products; while the Sorbet pamper station let your hands do the talking with complimentary manicures and the Dermalogica skin bar was available to see to your skin needs.
Guests were able to experience the latest in gorgeous garments, accessories and artisanal offerings including the culinary craze of arctic stone ice-cream roll ups from This is How We Roll. And for those that fancy a gin and tonic while they shop? Frost G&T popsicles were the perfect partner to fuel your fashion experience, while caffeine was on tap from The Chilla Beverage Company Coffee; and a stylish soundtrack by one of Jozi’s hottest DJ’s, DJ Poppy.
