Bonang Matheba tax fraud case postponed, bench warrant null and void:
Bonang is being charged for taxes outstanding from 2008-2017 for personal tax, and company tax from 2014-2017. The amount has not been disclosed
A week ago, news surfaced that there was warrant was held over Bonang and would be effective on the morning of October 4th, meaning should she not be in court on that day, she would be arrested. Her manager Davin Phillips said “The recent inquiry came as a surprise to Ms Matheba, nonetheless Ms Matheba has full respect and will comply with SARS, the South African legal system and processes,” Davin added that the star had also hired a new audit team to work with SARS in an attempt to sort out her issues with the taxman.

AKA Leaves Beam Group:
Kiernan stated that Beam Group will not be managing his affairs in any capacity, which means that they will not be handling anything relating to AKA’s brand and business ventures. He took to twitter saying: “While I remain the owner of the company, I’m actually in the process of shutting it down.”
This has naturally left a fair amount of speculation that maybe the rap mogul may reunite with his previous management. Right before anyone could confirm the news, it was already romoured on the streets that AKA went back to Vth Season.
He mentioned that Beam Group no longer shares the same intentions compared to when he and Prince started it. He is quite vocal about going his own route and conduct his business elsewhere.
Kiernan has also shared that he realized that he is a company so leaving Beam Group does not dent his solid brand at all – In the midst of all this, JR came out and said he wants to buy Beam Group.
Distruction Boyz & Shekinah score nods at the MTV EMAs:
SA’s Distruction Boyz and Shekinah are set to fly the South African flag at the MTV European Music Awards to be held next month in Bilbao, Spain
They’re are nominated in the Best African Act alongside last year’s winner Davido, Fally Ipupa and Tiwa Savage.

Zodwa Wabantu set to bag R1m for reality show:
Zodwa confirmed that the show called “Emdeni Ka Zodwa” is set to debut on DStv channel Moja Love with the first season that has 13-episodes. Reports allege Zodwa is set to get R1 million from the deal, however, she could confirm nor deny the amount but said that at least half of the final amount needs to be paid before filming starts.
“It’s going to be 13 episodes. But I won’t shoot a single episode unless half of the amount has been paid into my account. I cannot put my private life out there for nothing,” she commented. The series is set to document her life with her young lover, cover her past relationships and how she dealt with the loss of her mother at a tender age.
Steve Hofmeyr weighs in on renaming of Grahamstown:
Grahamstown is being renamed to Makhanda who was also known as Nxele was a Xhosa prophet and warrior. Steve Hofmeyr took to twitter saying “I call most towns by their old names for the simple reason that small settlements with the potential to become Western towns cannot be named after every goatherder who pissed under an Acacia tree.”
