HHP passes away, Rihanna’s political stance & Black Coffee returns to Beats 1 Radio

HHP has passed away:


Quoted saying “It is sad. It is the most heartbreaking thing. Everyone is there … I just don’t know how to paint a picture of everything. For me, it is just sadness. Unbelievable sadness.”  Two years ago, it was reported that he had admitted to attempting suicide three times in 2015 and that he had visited an online suicide website in an attempt to help him get information on how to end his life.

Edga Makgeledise, family spokes person confirmed that one memorial service in Johannesburg on Tuesday at Newtown Music Factory at 12pm and another in Mmabatho, Mahikeng at the Mmabatho Convention Centre on Thursday at 12pm. His funeral is set to take place on Saturday, 3 November at the Mmabatho Convention Centre.

Black Coffee returns to Apple’s Beats 1 Radio with with Julie Adenuga:

It first broke in July 26 the 2017 that he was the 1st African to debut any of their shows on Beats 1 radio. He went back again to talk about collaboration with David Guetta, Pharrell Williams & Wizkid.

Black Coffee explains the whole experience of working back and forth with David Guetta saying “We knew it’s not gonna be easy, like doing the song it was quick, but I knew the real journey begins. Even the intro, that’s why we have two releases because he likes to start a certain way.”

Stogie T gets an artistic residency in France:

Tumi Molekane, aka, Stogie-T has gotten himself an artistic residency for 2019 in the City of Arts of Reunion Island, in France. The City of Arts of Reunion is an arts festival in France that has music performances, from 49 music acts, 53 performance art projects, and 41 visual arts projects.

“The project has been conceived as an artistic nursery that serves the human being as a laboratory dedicated to the development of the sector of Reunion, as a cultural “agora” that lives by the men and women whose skills, know-how and networks are mobilized in the name of fulfillment.”

“It is a place of democratization , a place open to all.”   

Rihanna turns down Super Bowl show:

Rihanna’s decision to reject the offer to perform at the Superbowl halftime was over a political affair, where Colin Kaepernick decided to kneel during the nation anthem in 2016. This sparked a heated national debate, with critics including US President Donald Trump calling the players unpatriotic.

The “take a knee” national anthem protests against police brutality

Long after the protests, Kaepernick could not find work for the 2017 season and sued the NFL, accusing owners of conspiring to blackball him. He remains a free agent without a team at present.
