35-year-old Lorinda Voges is the CEO of 4ElementsMedia.
She started off working in the hospitality industry at the age of 21, and soon after joined FTV in South Africa as their national brand manager. Thereafter she decided to take a leap of faith and start her own company, which was at the age of 31.
With no formal education, everything she knows right now, she has taught herself; learnt from others and the Internet altogether. Through all of this she has managed to hold the 4EM ship for 4 years and bagged some of the biggest clients you could think.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is not achieving my own personal goals and not living my full potential.
Which living person do you most admire and why?
Angelina Jolie. I admire her living her true self. From a rebel heart to becoming a role model for many women out there. She never pretended to be anything or anyone other than herself and that’s why the world, but her peers as well, respect her so much. I want to be that kind of person.
Where would you like to live?
I currently live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. I have had a love affair with this city all my life, but decided 2 months ago to enter an official relationship with it. I have never regretted that decision. It was difficult at first, especially because of work and so many people questioned my decision, but I had to think of myself for a change and do what was best for me. Other than Cape Town, I would love to live in Siam Reap in Cambodia one day.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Running 4Elementsmedia despite many odds and being a strong, independent woman that keeps on learning from every failure and sees the lessons in it.
