This year marks the 80th year anniversary of Isuzu Motors and we continue to celebrate 80 years of a reliable, efficient and eco-friendly brand.

This year Isuzu commemorates and celebrates the history, heritage and legacy of Isuzu and looks to the future with the introduction of the popular X-Rider as a new addition in the Isuzu portfolio. Upon arrival, the stars were welcomed by the Isuzu team who introduced them to the newly revamped Isuzu KB. They were briefed about the off-road trail and how to embark on the obstacles they encounter.

The updated Isuzu KB boasts some styling changes to the front fascia and rear tailgate. The sleeker looking KB has a new instrumentation cluster design, improved sound system while maintaining all the key Isuzu characteristics that have always made it the ‘bakkie specialist’. In addition to the new look, the 3 litre 4×4 LX Double Cab now comes standard with a towbar, sportsbar, roofrails and power adjustable leather seats. The revamped Isuzu KB is truly a powerful and reliable vehicle for any journey. The Queen actor, Vuyo Mse was thoroughly impressed with the vehicle as he said, ‘The new Isuzu KB is a beast, it takes on these rough roads and hills with such ease plus it doesn’t hurt that the exterior looks so great’.

The celebrities got behind the wheels of the powerful Isuzu KB and set off on the off- road course. The course put them through their paces as they were guided through the course and mostly taught how to drive and manoeuvre the vehicle through the steep inclines and rugged terrain. The celebrities were excited and amazed at how the Isuzu KB handled the rough course, slopes and embankments with ease and comfort. Award winning musician Amanda Black excitedly said ‘The off-road experience was so thrilling and fun. The Isuzu KB handles the trail so well that it gives you so much confidence on that rough journey. I would trust this car any day for any of my drives to gigs’.

The guests then enjoyed a delicious lunch and sundowners at African Pride Hotel in Irene and a soulful performance by afro-pop artist and guitarist Berita while basking in the adrenaline of their off-road drive in the Isuzu KB.
