Following three jam-packed weeks of runway shows, presentations, and soirees, we’ve finally reached the end of the road in Paris. On September 25th, Paris Fashion Week kicked off with Vaquera and Pierre Cardin’s evening shows. If Milan was all about debuts, then this week in the French capital will be characterised by good-byes.
On Saturday, September 30, Sarah Burton is set to present her final collection with Alexander McQueen, following the recent news of her departure from the brand after 13 years at the helm. In addition, Gabriela Hearst bid farewell to Chloé after her final show on Thursday, September 28.
The buzz at Paris Fashion Week this year began on Dior’s runway, where celebrities such as SA’s own Thuso Mbedu and Charlize Theron turned up for the show. Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert also made an appearance at the fashion extravaganza in a dazzling white gown.
