Congratulations on the release of your third studio album. How are you feeling about the reception thus far?

Thank you! I am super happy and grateful for the reception so far, people seem to be enjoying the album as I hoped they would.

What inspired this current project?

My age and life achievements inspired me to create this project. It reminds people that they are doing good for themselves and affirms that it’s okay not to have your life fully figured out yet. Life is a journey.

Do you have a favourite song on your album? What is it and why?

Phambili is my favorite song. It translates to “Forward”. It’s a motivational song, a plea for strength to move forward.

We’re excited to see you perform at the Malibongwe Tribute To Women event this Sunday. Why do you think events like these are important?

Events like the Tribute to Women are important for queens to fix their crowns and remind each other how amazing and powerful they are. It is an event to celebrate women.

What are you looking forward to the most about this event?

I’m looking forward to performing new music and celebrating Women’s Month with other queens.

You’re an outstanding young lady in the music industry, are there any women in the industry that you look up to and would like to give tribute to?

I would like to give tribute to all women in the industry, those behind the scenes and those in the eyes of the public, the late queens and the living. Making it in this male-dominated industry is a strong win, and such queens are to be celebrated every day.

Do you think we need more “sisterhood” in the music industry? What could this look like?

Yes, we need more sisterhood. It all will start with small efforts such as collaborations then it will grow from there. We’d definitely dominate charts and get lots of streams.

What are you most proud of about your journey thus far?

I am proud of obtaining my degree amid my musical breakthrough. I am proud of everything I’ve achieved so far, and proud of making my family happy.

What Women’s Month message would you like to leave for our readers?

To the readers, Happy Women’s Month. May you be blessed and may you never forget that you are powerful beyond measure.
