Kanye West vs The People, and Riky Rick takes a break from his career

Kanye West and President Donald Trump

It’s that time of the week where we talk about the latest news in showbiz. Although a warm beverage is not for everyone, turns out celebrity-tea is best served hot off the press. Here’s what is on everyone’s lips right now:

Kanye West vs the people!

If you remember the 2009 VMA’s where he interrupted Taylor Swift’s speech. As if that didn’t cause enough media frenzy, we started reading about him fighting with the paparazzi and he did some time and community service for getting into a fight with at least two photographers, and breaking their cameras. These were the good old days.

In 2018 Kanye is trying himself out at “talking freely” about his love for President Donald Trump. When he explains his concept of  free speech you may grasp what he’s saying, because he says “I’m not referring to his political views, but I’m talking as a rapper because most rappers would mention Donald Trump in their songs,” for some reason or another. However, in such a political climate over there in America, the man has to be responsible with what he says, which is why everyone has something to say about what he is saying.

Riky Rick takes a break from his career?

Here’s a rapper who’s managed to be a considerable player in changing the hip hop scene in South Africa. If he’s not clocking people for wearing faux-Balenciaga, he is actually a sensible man.

A month ago he came out saying people should celebrate celebrities, rather entrepreneurs, emgineers and other professions which have nothing to do with entertainment. These are the people to celebrate. This came across as something you wouldn’t normally hear from Boss Zonke. It was also made apparent that he also helped a fellow rapper get out of their depression where he. It gladly took one text from Rikhado Makhado to help this young man get back on the grind.

Only a week ago Riky took to social media saying “I’m not in the right place mentally to continue doing shows or anything that involves leaving my children. I am taking time to find my faith before I lose the connection with the people I love the most.”

I’m glad that he realizes that something is up and he needs to sort it out before it’s too late. Ye should maybe take a hint?
