My Favourite Things: Dineo Stanley

Personal shopper Dineo Stanley is an ultra enthusiast of the finer things in life. The South African born digital creator who currently resides in New York, USA has been consistent in using her digital platforms to create engaging and relevant luxury content for her audience. Moreover, Dineo is a fashion-forward trendsetter with an exquisite taste in style. The personal shopper shared her top ten favourite things, with opulence at the heart of each item.

 

1. My son

 

I know this will seem cliche but I have to start with my son. He is my absolute favourite human and I cannot even begin to imagine my life without him. I’m so fortunate to be his mom; not a day goes by without me thanking God for this little miracle.

 

2.Tea

Okay, anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m obsessed with tea. I cannot even fall asleep at night until I’ve had my cup of rooibos tea. I love all sorts of teas and enjoy trying out new flavours when I travel. I always have a tea drawer in my home and my selection for the day depends on my mood, but there is nothing like a good cup of South African tea.

3. Travelling 

 

 

I love to travel, is there anything better than exploring a new country? There are still so many countries I would love to visit, Italy is high up on my list. I have been blessed enough to visit ten countries so far.

 

4. Books

 

Reading has to be on this list, I have not been reading as much as I used to since becoming a mom but it will always be one of my absolute favourite things to do. I prefer nonfiction such as autobiographies, memoirs, and self-help books. I’m personally still very much into turning pages and using random cards as bookmarks, for me reading on a Kindle or iPad is just not the same.

 

5. Pasta

 

I’m such a foodie, I enjoy discovering new restaurants and trying out new dishes. Although I must say Italian restaurants will always have my heart, is there anything better than a good seafood pasta dish? Okay, maybe pizza but give me pasta anytime!

 

 

 

6. Chanel Classic Flap Vintage Handbag

 

I have such a weakness when it comes to handbags, I love a good classic and practical style. I love vintage bags, I believe the quality lately is just not the same as back in the day. I have a few favourite vintage designer bags, but the vintage Chanel classic flap has to be one of the best finds to date.

 

 

7. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm

 

 

 

I’m obsessed with skincare but one product I can not live without is La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. This cream is fantastic for skin barrier repair and works well even for babies, I used to use it on my son when he had dry patches or diaper rash.

8. Perfumes with Summery Scents

 

 

I love perfumes, I usually prefer something light and not too sweet. I tend to be drawn more toward floral, summery scents. I truly believe in signature scents, so my collection is very small. At the moment I’m loving Louis Vuitton perfumes – for the day Rose Des Vents and the evening Fleur du Desert.

 

 

 

9. Maxhosa by Luduma

 

 

No matter where I am in the world, I will always support South African brands. One of my favorite brands is Maxhosa by Luduma and although I love so many pieces from their collection, my black and white shawl is so special and I love that it’s so versatile and can be styled in so many different ways.

 

 

10. Shopping

 

I’m a personal shopper so I can’t end this list without adding shopping as one of my favorite things! Nothing beats seeing how excited my clients get to receive their packages.
