When it comes to balancing ambition with authenticity, Siphesihle Mhosho—better known as Sihlelesipho—is a masterclass. By day, she’s a CFA and Masters candidate working a 9-to-5, and by weekend, she’s an entrepreneur building her brand while creating content that radiates joy and relatability. Born and raised in the coastal town of Umkomaas, Siphesihle’s journey is a celebration of staying true to her roots while reaching for the stars.

With plans to relaunch her clothing brand, Nayeli, in the coming year as a passion project, Siphesihle is committed to merging creativity with purpose. She also dreams of returning to initiatives close to her heart: helping underprivileged women and children.

In this exclusive feature, she lets us in on the ten things that bring her the most joy—whether it’s her unwavering faith, the fashion that’s been part of her story since childhood, or a glass of champagne that makes every moment feel luxurious. From her family bonds to her creative pursuits, Siphesihle shares what fuels her, inspires her, and keeps her grounded.

God

God is honestly my number one. I’m still new to this intimate relationship with God, but centring my life around Him gives me so much peace.

Family

My family means the world to me. My mum is the cutest baby girl ever, and I love how my sisters and she have become my best friends as I’ve grown older. My entire family is incredibly supportive and loving—I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Fashion

Fashion has been a passion of mine since childhood. I used to cut up and hand-sew my mum’s old clothes, and recently, I’ve returned to making clothes. I even created the skirt and top I wore to a Woolworths event, and I’m still in awe of what I can create. It lifts my spirits and makes me so happy—plus, the compliments are always a bonus!

Makeup and Weaves

I’m definitely Becky with the good hair, and I can slay a makeup look like no other. It’s therapeutic for me, and I love how it enhances my features and transforms my appearance.

Travelling

I love exploring the world, experiencing new cultures, and soaking in the beauty of different countries. I try to travel at least once a year, and I’m so grateful to God for making it possible.

Friends

Having a sisterhood is incredibly important to me, especially since I live far from my family. I cherish the memories I create with my friends and the love and support I receive from them.

Music

Music is my escape, my motivation, and my joy. One album that stands out for me is Wizkid’s Made in Lagos. Its smooth rhythms and Afrobeat magic create a vibe I can’t get enough of. It’s more than just an album—it’s a soundtrack to unforgettable moments and emotions.

Vlogging and Creating Content

I may not be the “aesthetic babe” type, but I love my authenticity and capturing it for my future grandkids to see that I was once a fine babe. Watching my personal growth through my YouTube channel and Instagram is truly fulfilling.

Champagne (Specifically Veuve Brut)

I absolutely love champagne, darling! It makes me feel luxurious and expensive. I love its crisp taste and the fact that it’s not overly sweet.

Meat

Perhaps it’s the Zulu girl in me, but I love meat with all my heart. It’s simply the best!
