It was yet another celebration at the Nicci Street Syle Spring Summer launch party, for an exclusive peep into their style offering for the next season.
The guest list had a swath of South African A-list Celebrities, Fashion Journalists, Media Personalities, VIP shoppers and guests at Hyde Park Corner – Africa’s Centre of Luxury.
“As you can see from the store it’s all about colour this season and we’re very excited about that. As season’s change, so do our moods and with spring around the corner, we’ve noticed people embracing a lot more color in their wardrobes. Our range is rich with pastelle pieces that look delicious and easy to wear. The range also includes some moody tones which, if done wrong, could wash you out, such as the colors; grey, white and stone. Our responsibility to fashion lead us to use raw fabrics which mostly used vegetable dye to color them, which also enhanced the fabric by giving it that washed look.” Says Nicci.
Attendees were given the opportunity to preview and exclusively-shop the new Nicci SS18 collection with 30% off on the day and treated to a luxurious VIP offering from; Sorbet Hyde Park, Dermalogica Skin Mapping, the new Jimmy Choo Fever fragrance, Glam Palm, Gin bar with Southern Sun, Champagne tasting, Ice cream macaroons by The Patisserie, freshly pressed juices by Impressed juice bar, artisan roasted coffee bar by Manaka Coffee and GOSH make-up pamper stations.
Media darlings, influencers and fashion reporters were further imbued with a luscious lunch by Executive Chef Grant Van Der Riet, at the new Luce Restaurant at Tsogo Sun, Southern Sun Hyde Park.
The menu boats a slew of sophisticated French favorites such as the Tre Ravioli Formaggio E Alle Erbe In Salsa Cremosa Alla Napoletana, which is a gloriously creamy three cheese and herb ravioli, smothered in a Napolitano sauce and topped with gorgeous garlic butter and Parmesan shavings – a foodies sanctuary and a true sensory experience.
Ending the afternoon off on a sweet note, guests were treated to a dark chocolate and passion fruit tart, pistachio and matcha panna cotta and mango sorbet, with three lucky winners walking away with a champagne breakfast and dinner for two at Southern Sun Hotel Hyde Park, as well as a Glampalm #toolforchange, a stay for two at the Southern Sun Hotel Hyde Park and a Nicci Boutique voucher valued at R3 000.
